Ernesto’s creative passion extends to other areas of film-making. In 2008, he produced Vuelve A Mí (Back to Me), a short film based on a true story about a mother who, following an accident, loses some of her memory and fails to acknowledge her daughter. The short, which was produced with the objective to serve as a pilot for a feature film, has been entered in a number of international film festivals.

Ernesto has been also involved in the production of A Portrait of Walthamstow Market, a documentary about stall traders at the largest street market in London. The documentary, filmed during one winter Saturday, was screened out-of-competition at 2007 Cannes film festival and received a nomination in the best documentary category at Soho Shorts Film Festival in 2008. Ernesto also produced and presented Latin American Mornings, a music radio show broadcast on XpressIt FM, a local London radio station. Other shorts co-produced by Ernesto include 21 Century Wolf and The Beast of Wimbledon Common.
